Corte Madera was my home for more than six years. When I first moved there I told everyone that I had won the "location lottery" because of the perfect weather and how accessible it is to everything you want to do in the bay area. Less than 5 square miles, the population totals about 10,000 residents who all seem to know just how lucky they are. This town is the high end shopping hub of Marin with it's two malls saddling the 101 Fwy. The town's volunteer beuatification committee keeps the romance flowing with huge flower baskets on vintage style lampost all around town. The annual 4th of July parade is a cherished tradition shared with the "twin city" of Larkspur. "Christams Tree Hill" is so named for the lighted homes at holiday time which seem to form the shape of a christmas tree as they climb the base of Mt Tamalpais. Corte Madera Creek provides wonderful water views as it winds through the town and connects with the marshlands and the bay. There's lots more to learn about Corte Madera on the official city website.
